Start learning

Your tutor comes to you, or you learn live online, one to one, at a pace that suits you.

What you can learn

Lessons are built around the learner, from first mix to first gig.

Complete beginner

Set up the equipment, understand the mixer, beatmatch by ear and put together your first smooth mixes.

Improver

Phrase-perfect mixing, EQ and effects, building a set that flows and reading a crowd.

Advanced

Performance skills, harmonic mixing, scratching and transitions, preparing for real gigs and recorded mixes.

Music production

Make your own tracks: beats, basslines, arranging and finishing a tune in software like Ableton or Cubase.

MCing

Flow, breath control, writing bars and performing with a DJ.

Questions

The things people usually ask before their first lesson.

Start your enquiry
How much do DJ lessons cost?

It depends on the course, how many lessons you'd like and where you are. Send an enquiry and we'll talk you through the options on a free, no-obligation call.

What age can you start?

Most learners start from around age 10, and there's no upper limit. We teach children, teenagers and adults.

Do I need my own DJ equipment?

No. Many learners start with no equipment at all. Your tutor can bring kit to lessons and help you choose a sensible setup if you decide to buy one.

Who are the tutors?

Working DJs, producers and MCs who play out, not classroom music teachers. Tutors who teach young people are DBS checked.

Can you help with additional needs?

Yes. Lessons are one-to-one, so the pace and approach can be adapted for autism, ADHD, anxiety and other additional needs.

Are online lessons available?

Yes. If there isn't a tutor near you, or you'd simply prefer it, live one-to-one lessons can be done online.

Where do lessons take place?

Usually in your own home, with the tutor bringing equipment if you need it. Live one-to-one online lessons are available everywhere in the UK.
